When we look at a piece of jewelry, we are awestruck by its beauty. Maybe it sparkles; maybe its colour catches your eye; maybe its texture reaches out to you to touch it; maybe its shape intrigues you or maybe some intangible quality moves you.

The universal shapes and their archetypal significance may not be what comes to mind at first glance, but forces deep beneath our conscious awareness are playing their part in stirring a remembering in our souls.

There are four main elements at play in the natural world: earth, air, water and fire. Check out the pages in the attached pdf.

Earth grounds and nurtures us.
Air lifts us up and we find our voice, expression and communicate.
Water draws out our intuition, dreams and emotions.
Fire creates the new, transmutes and destroys the old.

We can use gemstones to connect to each of these energies.
A word to the wise- all things in moderation. Being too watery is not productive. Being too airy requires a balance of earth energy to keep grounded. Passionate fire is wonderful in small doses. Keep the balance.

When you are drawn to a particular elemental gem, ask what is out of balance. Why do I need this? Why does this repulse me? When does this suit me? In what circumstances? Gems respond to current needs and needs change over time.
